Know Not Why: A Novel
Howie gets a job at Artie Kraft's Arts 'N Crafts hoping to score with his lady coworkers. After all, girls love a sensitive guy, and what's more sensitive than dedicating your life to selling yarn and ... stuff? (Okay, so maybe it'd be a good idea to actually learn what one sells at an arts 'n crafts store.) But things don't go exactly according to plan. Coworker #1 is Kristy: blonde, bubbly, unattainable perfection. Coworker #2 is Cora: tiny, much-pierced, and way too fierce to screw with in any sense. And Coworker #3 is, well, Arthur. It goes without saying that he’s not an option. Right?

… Right?

Yeah, Howie’s life just got straight up confusing.

Pun intended.


Toil & Trouble: A Know Not Why Halloween (Mis)Adventure
It's that Halloweeny time of year, and Howie, Arthur, Kristy, and Cora are on a mission to create the perfect haunted house event at the store in order to win over new customers.

Turns out, it's not as easy as it sounds -- especially when you're trying to charm the town's most popular (and terrifying) arts 'n crafts blogger into writing your store a favorable review. And it just gets worse when that blogger insists that her wild child ten year old son be given creative control over the entire situation.

There's no way around it: October just got stressful. Fortunately, Howie & Co. are super chill and not at all prone toward panicking.

... Yeah, that might be a lie.

The characters from Know Not Why return in this romp full of workplace turmoil, eerie coincidences, sexy mummy costumes, and even more bantery friendship antics than ever before.

A young woman sets no stock in all that dying-for-love nonsense, and woe betide the anguished knight who tries to brood at her. And a little girl observes more of life, love, and regret than anyone would have thought to expect from a clever and vengeful witch. Three old stories given new shapes.

Know Now Why Now Available in Paperback!

Hello everybody! I am taking a brief break from being the most mysterious and non-update-y writer in the whole of the internet to let you know that Know Not Why is now available in paperback form from Amazon. You can check out the paperback edition here on Amazon . The 2019 yarn heart remix!  (I had, alas, lost the original yarn heart picture.) This paperback was a bit of a labor of love, since it was my first time setting one up, but overall I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and very delighted by the experience of actually getting to see Howie & Co. come to life on physical pages! Thank you to the readers out there who have asked about a paperback edition over the years; it wouldn't have dawned on me to try to do it if it weren't for you. And now back to my mysterious blog silence for the next few years! :D Best wishes to all.

You have arrived at the blog of ... well, me, the author of Know Not Why and a person with exactly zero finely honed blogging skills.
